At BookNest, customer satisfaction is our top priority. We understand that sometimes a purchase may not meet your expectations, and we're here to help. This policy outlines our procedures for returns, exchanges, and refunds.
Return Eligibility
Eligible for Return
- Books received in damaged condition
- Wrong item delivered
- Missing pages or printing defects
- Returns initiated within 7 days of delivery
- Items in original, unused condition
Not Eligible for Return
- Books with customer-caused damage (torn pages, water damage, etc.)
- Items returned after 7 days of delivery
- Books with broken seals or opened packaging (where applicable)
- E-books or digital products (non-returnable)
- Items marked as "Final Sale" or "Non-Returnable"
How to Initiate a Return
- Contact Support: Email us at returns@booknest.com or call +91 98765 43210 within 7 days of receiving your order.
- Provide Details: Include your order number, item(s) to be returned, and reason for return. Attach photos if the item is damaged.
- Receive Authorization: Our team will review your request and provide a Return Authorization Number (RAN) within 24-48 hours.
- Ship the Item: Pack the item securely and ship it to our return address. Include the RAN on the package.
- Inspection:Once we receive the item, we'll inspect it within 2-3 business days.
- Refund Processing: Upon approval, refunds are processed within 7-10 business days.
Refund Methods
Refunds will be processed based on your original payment method:
- Cash on Delivery orders: Refund via bank transfer (NEFT/IMPS) to your registered bank account
- Store Credit: Option to receive store credit for future purchases (additional 10% bonus)
Shipping Costs
- Damaged/Wrong Items: BookNest will cover return shipping costs
- Change of Mind: Customer is responsible for return shipping costs
- Original Shipping: Non-refundable unless the return is due to our error
Exchanges
We offer exchanges for items of equal or lesser value. If you'd like to exchange for a higher-priced item, you'll need to pay the difference. To request an exchange, follow the same process as returns and specify the item you'd like in exchange.
Order Cancellation
You can cancel your order for a full refund under these conditions:
- Before Shipping: Full refund, no questions asked
- After Shipping: You may refuse delivery; refund processed after item returns to us (shipping costs may apply)
Damaged in Transit
If your order arrives damaged due to shipping, please document the damage with photos and contact us within 48 hours of delivery. We'll arrange for a replacement or full refund at no additional cost to you.
